GREENSBORO, N.C. - Florida State senior Kemar Hyman and Clemson junior Spencer Adams have been named the ACC Indoor Track & Field Men's Co-Performers of the Week, announced by the conference on Tuesday. Clemson freshman Dezerea Bryant was named the ACC Women's Performer of the Week.
Adams clocked the second-fastest time in Clemson history on Saturday in the 60-meter hurdles. The Charlotte, N.C., native posted the best time among collegiate hurdles in an Auburn Invitational that featured four ranked teams in competition. His mark of 7.68 ranks first in the ACC so far this season and second in the NCAA.
Hyman opened up his season with an NCAA automatic qualifying time of 6.56 in the 60-meter dash, the second-fastest time in both the world and the NCAA this year. The George Town, Grand Cayman, native narrowly missed the school record by just .01 and tied the Cayman Islands national record.
Bryant won the 200-meter dash over a field of 44 runners with a time of 23.51 - the second-fastest time in the NCAA this year. The native of Milwaukee, Wisc., posted a 7.25 in the 60-meter dash, finishing with the second-best collegiate mark and the top overall time in the conference in 2012.
