Seeds Announced for 2015 ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship

Notre Dame completes league play 4-0 and earns No. 1 seed

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Notre Dame holds the top seed for the 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship, which gets underway Friday, April 24 at PPL Park located right outside of Philadelphia.

The Fighting Irish (9-1, 4-0 ACC) will play No. 4 seed Duke (10-4, 1-3 ACC) in the first semifinal game at 5:30 p.m. , live on ESPNU/WatchESPN. Notre Dame topped the Blue Devils 15-10 in both teams’ regular-season meeting on April 4. Notre Dame is the first team to finish league play undefeated since Duke went 3-0 in 2011.

No. 2 seed North Carolina (12-2, 3-1 ACC) will meet No. 3 seed Syracuse (9-2, 2-2 ACC) in the second semifinal on Friday at 8 p.m., live on ESPNU/WatchESPN.  The Tar Heels edged the Orange, 17-15 on April 11.

The winners of the two semifinal games will meet in the ACC Championship game on Sunday, April 26 at 1 p.m., which will be broadcast on ESPNU/WatchESPN.

The ACC Championship will feature four of the nation’s top lacrosse programs as all four teams are currently ranked among the top six in both national polls.

Virginia will play Penn in the ACC-Penn Classic on Saturday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. That game will air on ESPN3.
