GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech’s Luke Schniederjans has been named the ACC Men’s Golfer of the Month for September.
Schniederjans, the younger brother of three-time All-American Ollie Schniederjans, won the first collegiate tournament in which he played, holding off pursuers from Auburn, Virginia and North Florida during the final round to score a 1-stroke victory at the Carpet Capital Collegiate (11-under-par 205). He shot all three rounds under par (69-66-70) en route to the individual title.
The freshman from Powder Springs, Georgia, followed that with a tie for 13th at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate on a desert-style course (5-under-par 208). He has broken 70 in four of his first six collegiate rounds.
