Of note: Virginia Tech plays its second straight Thursday night game as it travels to Pitt for another important Coastal Division contest ... The Panthers have won their last four home meetings against the Hokies and are 2-1 vs. Virginia Tech in ACC games ... Last year’s 17-13 Panthers win at Blacksburg saw Pitt RB Qadree Ollison run for 122 yards and a second-half TD while the Panthers recorded six quarterback sacks and limited Virginia Tech to just 100 yards total offense.

Ones to watch: Virginia Tech TE Bucky Hodges had a career-high seven receptions, including two touchdown catches, in last Thursday night’s win over Miami ... Pitt SS Jordan Whitehead made key plays on both defense and offense in the Panthers’ win at Virginia on Oct. 15.

Of note: Virginia closes out a three-game ACC homestand as it welcomes the Cardinals to Charlottesville ... The teams are even in ACC play at 1-1 since Louisville joined the conference for the 2014 season ... The Cavaliers are 2-0 all-time against Louisville at home,  including a 23-21 win two seasons ago ... Last year’s game in Louisville saw the Cardinals convert a late Cavalier turnover on a punt exchange into the deciding touchdown in a 38-31 victory.

Ones to watch: Louisville PK Blanton Creque’s booted four field goals in Cardinals’ win over NC State last Saturday and had 18 total points ... Virginia CB Bryce Hall had a career-high nine tackles, eight of which were solo stops, in last Saturday’s game against North Carolina.

Of note: Georgia Tech has won 18 of the last 21 meetings, but the Blue Devils have won the last two, including a 34-20 decision last season in Durham ... Saturday marks the 84th game in the series, which began in 1933 and has been played annually without interruption ... Duke RB Shaquille Powell rushed for three touchdowns to lead the Blue Devils to last year’s win ...  The Yellow Jackets had won 10 straight vs. Duke in Atlanta prior dropping a 31-25 decision in 2014.

Ones to watch: Duke senior S Corbin McCarthy has registered 1.5 or more tackles for loss in three games this season ... Georgia Tech junior S Corey Griffin registered 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and one sack (all career highs) in the Yellow Jackets’ 35-24 win over Georgia Southern on Oct. 15.

Of note: NC State upended the Eagles 24-8 last season in Chestnut Hill to snap a two-game losing streak in the series ... The Wolfpack recorded five QB sacks and picked off three passes ... The Eagles have won seven of 11 meetings against NC State since joining the ACC for the 2005 season ... The series began in 1936 with Boston College winning 7-3 at Fenway Park ... NC State returned the next season to post a 12-7 win in Chestnut Hill, and the teams didn’t meet again until 2005. 

Ones to watch:  Boston College graduate QB Patrick Towles rushed for a career-high 104 yards, including a career-long 75-yard touchdown run, last Saturday vs. Syracuse ...  NC State redshirt sophomore WR Maurice Trowell hauled in a 70-yard touchdown reception against Louisville.

Of note: The Hurricanes seek their first win over Notre Dame since a 27-10 decision in 1989 and to snap a three-game losing streak in the series ... The teams first met in 1955, and the most recent game between the programs took place at Chicago’s Soldier Field in 2012, where the No. 9 Fighting Irish posted a 41-3 win  ... That contest saw RBs Cierre Wood and George Atkinson III become the first Notre Dame duo in over a decade to both eclipse 100 rushing yards in a single game. 

Ones to watch:  Miami senior S Jamal Carter had a career-high 11 tackles, including six solo stops, in last Thursday night’s game at Virginia Tech ... Notre Dame RB Josh Adams has rushed for a team-high 416 yards and has added 133 yards on 15 pass receptions.

Of note: Wake Forest closes out its nonconference regular-season slate by facing Army for the fifth consecutive season ... Last year’s 17-14 win at West Point was the ninth straight in the series for the Demon Deacons, who have not lost to the Black Knights since Sept. 23, 1989 ... Wake Forest is unbeaten against Army in Winston-Salem ... A win on Saturday would give the Demon Deacons bowl eligibility for the first time since 2011 and the first time under third-year head coach Dave Clawson.

Ones to watch: Army LB Jeremy Timpf had a team-high 12 tackles and vs. North Texas, his ninth career games with double-digit tackles ... WR Cortez Lewis became the second Wake Forest receiver this season with a 100-yard game in the Deacons’ most recent outing at Florida State on Oct. 15.

Of note: Clemson puts its 13-game winning streak against ACC competition on the line and tries to take a huge step toward a second straight Atlantic Division title ... The Seminoles seek to avenge last year’s 23-13 loss to the Tigers in Death Valley and defeat Clemson for the fifth time in six meetings ...  Clemson pulled away from FSU in the final 7:23 last year with 10 unanswered points on Greg Huegel’s 34-yard field goal and RB Wayne Gallman’s 25-yard touchdown run.

Ones to watch: Clemson CB Marcus Edmond had the game-sealing interception as the Tigers defeated NC State in overtime on Oct. 15 ... Florida State WR Travis Rudolph caught 13 passes for 238 yards in the Seminoles’ 17-6 win over visiting Wake Forest on Oct. 15.
