Of note: The teams resume a series that began over a century ago but has seen them meet on just seven total occasions ... The most recent came two years ago, also at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., where Notre Dame posted a 31-15 win ... The crowd of 76,802 was the largest ever to watch a college game at MetLife ... Syracuse’s 14-7 win at Yankee Stadium on Thanksgiving Day in 1963 was the last neutral site meeting between the teams prior to 2014.

Ones to watch: Syracuse CB Cordell Hudson returned an interception 22 yards for a touchdown to help the Orange win at UConn ... Notre Dame WR Equanimeous St. Brown  had a career-best six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown in  last weekend’s loss to Duke.

The teams are 29-29 in ACC head-to-head meetings ... QB Matt Johns passed for a career-high 344 yards and two touchdowns as Virginia built a 22-point lead ... Duke backup QB Parker Boehme led two fourth-quarter scoring drives, but the Cavaliers held off the Blue Devils at the finish.

Ones to watch: Virginia QB Kurt Benkert totaled career highs in completions (27), yards (421) and touchdown passes (5) in last Saturday’s win over Central Michigan ... RB Shaun Wilson returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown to spark Duke’s road win at Notre Dame.

Buffalo head coach Lance Leipold led Wisconsin-Whitewater to six NCAA Division III national titles and five unbeaten seasons in his eight years at the school.

Ones to watch: Buffalo OLB Jarrett Franklin piled up 17 tackles in last weekend’s overtime victory over Army West Point ... Boston College QB Patrick Towles passed for two TDs and ran for two more in the win over Wagner.

FSU carries a 22-game homefield winning streak into Saturday’s game, the FBS’s longest active.

Ones to watch: North Carolina WR Ryan Switzer tied an ACC and a school record with 16 receptions in the Tar Heels’ come-from-behind win over Pitt ... RB Dalvin Cook now owns three of FSU’s top five rushing performances of all-time, as well as five of its 20 longest touchdown runs.

The unbeaten Demon Deacons seek their first win in Raleigh since 2006, when QB Riley Skinner led Orange Bowl-bound Wake Forest to a 25-23 win ... RB Matt Dayes rushed for a career-high 205 yards to lead the Wolfpack in last year’s road victory.

Ones to watch: QB John Wolford finished 16-of-29 for 172 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 61 yards and two touchdowns in Wake Forest’s win at Indiana...  Sophomore DE Darian Roseboro has 6.5 tackles for loss in NC State’s first three games, including three quarterback sacks.

Louisville visited Marshall last weekend in the completion of their two-game agreement, and NC State is set to play host to Marshall next season and visit in 2018 ... This weekend’s game wraps up Pitt’s non-conference regular-season slate for 2016.

Ones to watch: Marshall freshman DE Ty Tyler has returned a fumble for a touchdown in two of his first three collegiate games ... PItt sophomore WR Quadree Henderson finished with a career-high 249 all-purpose yards in last Saturday’s game at North Carolina and ranks third nationally.

The teams first met two years upon Louisville’s entry into the ACC, and Clemson has won both meetings to date ... The Tigers, ranked No. 11 heading into last year’s game at Louisville, hung on for a 20-17 win as QB Deshaun Watson threw two TD passes and RB Wayne Gallman ran for 139 yards ... Clemson survived a 100-yard kickoff return by Louisville’s Traveon Samuel.

Ones to watch: Louisville TE Cole Hikutini  was the recipient of two of QB Lamar Jackson’s TD passes in  last Saturday night’s win at Marshall ... Clemson freshman WR Cornell Powell caught a season-high five passes in last Thursday night’s road win at Georgia Tech.
