QB Deshaun Watson threw for 265 yards and found TE Jordan Leggett for a pair of touchdowns in last year’s Clemson win ... The Tigers hold a 17-16 edge in ACC play in the series, which was first played in 1898.

Ones to watch: Clemson WR Ray-Ray McCloud had four catches for 60 yards vs. South Carolina State and posted his first multi-score game with two TDs ... Freshman RB Dedrick Mills rushed for three touchdowns in Georgia Tech’s win over Vanderbilt

Of note: Fourth meeting in series that began in 2009 and resumed last year with a 34-14 home win by the Seminoles ... RB Dalvin Cook rushed for 266 yards to key last year’s win, becoming the first FSU player since 1988 to rush for over 200 yards in a game ... FSU has won two straight against the Bulls since dropping  the series opener by a 17-7 score in 2009 in Tallahassee ... The Seminoles will be USF’s second straight ACC opponent of this season after defeating Syracuse last week.

Ones to watch: Florida State sophomore DB Tavarus McFadden recorded the second interception of the season and his career in last week’s game at Louisville ... South Florida RB Marlon Mack rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns in last Saturday’s win over Syracuse.

Of note: Virginia and Central Michigan meet for the first time since 1996, when the Cavaliers posted a 55-21 win over the visiting Chippewas in Charlottesville behind RB Tiki Barber’s 147 rushing yards (all in the first half) ... This Saturday’s game closes out the 2016 non-conference slate for the Cavaliers, who will finish the regular season with eight consecutive ACC games, beginning next week at Duke and culminating with a road trip to rival Virginia Tech on Thanksgiving Friday.  

Ones to watch: Virginia TB Taquan Mizzell’s streak of 36 games with at least one reception is the third-longest active streak in the nation  by a running back ... Central Michigan QB Cooper Rush threw six touchdown passes in leading Central Michigan past UNLV last Saturday.

Of note: The Hokies hope to snap a two-game losing streak in their series with the Pirates, who won 35-28 last year in Greenville and posted a 28-21 victory in their last trip to Blacksburg in 2014 ... Last year’s game saw East Carolina overcome an early 14-0 deficit with 28 unanswered points ... The Hokies will be the second ACC team the Pirates have faced this month following their 33-30 win over visiting NC State on Sept. 10.

Ones to watch: LB Tremaine Edmunds recorded 2.5 tackles for loss and three quarterback hurries in the Hokies’ shutout win over Boston College ... East Carolina WR Zay Jones’ 22 receptions vs. South Carolina were one shy of the NCAA FBS single-game record.

The game will be the home opener for the Eagles after facing Georgia Tech in Ireland, UMass at Gillette Stadium and Virginia Tech on the road last week ... Boston College will now play four consecutive games at Alumni Stadium before traveling to NC State on Oct. 29.

Ones to watch:  Boston College  senior DE Kevin Kavalec matched a career-high with 10 tackles in last weekend’s loss at Virginia Tech ... Senior WR Andre Yevchine returned a punt 77 yard for a touchdown in Wagner’s 38-0 win over Concordia in its most recent outing Sept. 10.

Ones to watch: Syracuse RB Dontae Strickland rushed for 127 yards on 30 carries in last Saturday’s game vs. South Florida ... UConn PK Bobby Puyol has two game-winning field goals this season, including last Saturday’s 43-yarder with 1:33 left to lift the Huskies past Virginia.

The game is the first of three straight against ACC teams for Notre Dame, which faces Syracuse at East Rutherford, N.J., on Oct. 1 and travels to NC State on Oct. 8.

Ones to watch: Duke CB DeVon Edwards had a game-high 10 tackles, including a sack for a 9-yard loss, in last week’s game at Northwestern ... Notre Dame DL Jerry Tillery recorded his first tackles for loss of the season with a pair in last Saturday’s game vs. 12th-ranked Michigan State.

Ones to watch: Pitt junior WR Jester Weah posted a career-high 85 receiving yards in last Saturday’s game at Oklahoma State, including a 60-yard TD reception ... OLB Cayson Collins finished with 10 tackles, including two for loss, in UNC’s win over James Madison.

Indiana head coach Kevin Wilson is a North Carolina graduate and a former Tar Heel player and assistant coach ... Wake Forest has started the season 3-0 for the first time since 2008 and for the 10th time in program history.

Ones to watch: ... Indiana RB Devine Redding  has averaged 122.5 rushing yards in the Hoosiers’ first two games ... Wake Forest RB Matt Colburn led the offensive effort with 24 carries for a career-high 118 yards and a touchdown in last week’s game vs. Delaware.

Of note: The Cardinals seek to get back on the winning track in their series with the Thundering Herd, which has won the last four meetings ... The teams most recently met in 2011 at Louisville, which Marshall coming out on the front end of a 17-13 score under then second-year head coach Doc Holliday, a former NC State assistant ... Louisville’s last win at Marshall came by a 56-0 score in 1977, and the Cardinals will be seeking their first over the Herd at any site since 1981.

Ones to watch: Louisville WR James Quick had seven receptions for 122 yards last Saturday as the Cardinals scored the most points ever by a Florida State opponent ... Marshall QB Chase Litton threw for 413 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions in the shootout vs. Akron.
