Of note: Long-time rivals square off in an ESPN Thursday night game with North Carolina needing a win to maintain its hopes of securing a second-straight Coastal Division title ... The Tar Heels have won the last two meetings between the teams and 23 of the last 26 ...  North Carolina claimed a high-scoring 66-31 victory last year in Chapel Hill as QB Marquise Williams threw for 404 yards in the first half and finished with 494 yards passing and four touchdowns.

Ones to watch: RB Elijah Hood rushed for a season-high 168 yards and scored three touchdowns to key a 283-yard team effort vs. Georgia Tech ... Duke sophomore LB Ben Humphreys booked a career-high 16 tackles vs. Virginia Tech and has at least 10 tackles in four of the last five games.

Of note: Florida State has won the last six meetings since dropping back-to-back games to the Eagles in 2008 and 2009 ... The Seminoles own an 8-3 edge in ACC games in the series, which began in 1957 and also featured non-conference games in 1976 and 1980 before both schools became ACC members ... The Seminoles posted a 14-0 shutout last year at Chestnut Hill as CB Jalen Ramsey returned a fourth-quarter fumble 36 yards for a touchdown as part of a stout defensive effort.

Ones to watch: Junior DB Ermon Lane continued to be a presence in the FSU secondary in last Saturday’s win over NC State, setting a career high with 10 tackles ...  Boston College senior DB John Johnson recorded his second interception of the season and a fumble recovery against Louisville.

Of note: NC State looks to improve on its unbeaten mark in road games in the series, a string of success that includes wins at old Archbold Stadium in 1974 and 1977 and at the Carrier Dome in 1997 and in 2014 ... The Orange’s lone win in nine meetings thus far came by a 24-10 score in 2013 in the first ACC game between the programs ... NC State won 42-29 last year in Raleigh as QB Jacoby Brissett passed for 235 yards and two touchdowns.

Ones to watch: WR Nyheim Hines led the Wolfpack against Florida State with 11 catches for 124 yards ...  Syracuse LB Parris Bennett set a career high with 16 tackles in last Saturday’s road game against No. 3 Clemson.

Of note: The series between the teams is tied at 6-6 since the Hurricanes joined the ACC for the 2004 season, with Miami’s 31-21 win in the 1996 Carquest Bowl providing the overall series edge ... The teams have split the last four meetings with each side winning at home ... The Hurricanes posted a 27-21 win last year at Miami Gardens as QB Brad Kaaya passed for 286 yards and two touchdowns and WR Stacy Coley had 132 receiving yards with a score. 

Ones to watch: Miami freshman WR Ahmmon Richards finished with a career-high eight receptions for 144 yards in last Saturday’s win over Pitt ... Virginia OLB Matt Terrell had a career-high 10 tackles in last weekend’s game at Wake Forest.

The meeting will be the first in ACC play between the schools and only the second ever ... The lone previous meeting came in the 1977 Gator Bowl at Jacksonville, Fla., where Pitt posted a 34-3 win ... QB Matt Cavanaugh led the Panthers, completing 23-of-36 passes for 387 yards and four touchdowns.

Ones to watch: Pitt junior WR Jester Weah caught three passes for 115 yards, including a 75-yard touchdown reception vs. Miami ... Clemson WR Deon Cain had five catches for a game-high 125 yards vs. Syracuse, including a 65-yard touchdown reception.

The Hokies rallied from 14 points down to win their final Thursday night game under retiring legendary head coach Frank Beamer ... Hokies RB Travon McMillian rushed for 135 yards on 24 carries.

Ones to watch: Georgia Tech RB Dedrick Mills rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown in last Saturday’s game at North Carolina ... Virginia Tech DT Woody Baron had nine tackles, including 3.5 for loss in the Hokies’ road win at Duke.

Of note: The Cardinals close out their ACC slate by playing host to the Demon Deacons in an Atlantic Division contest ... Louisville has won both the previous ACC meetings between the teams and also posted a 24-13 in the 2007 Orange Bowl after the 2006 season ... Louisville edged Wake Forest 20-19 last year in Winston-Salem as QB Lamar Jackson threw two touchdown passes to WR Jamari Staples and the Cardinals’ defense forced five turnovers.

Ones to watch: Wake Forest redshirt freshman DB Jessie Bates III had his fifth interception of the season and his second return for a touchdown to clinch the win over Virginia ... Louisville WR Jaylen Smith had the first 100-yard game of his career with six receptions for 123 yards vs. Boston College.
