Pack Edged in Overtime at Temple, 80-79, in WNIT Third Round

PHILADELPHIA (GoPack.com) -- The NC State women's basketball team (18-15) dropped a heartbreaker in overtime on Thursday night, falling 80-79 to the Temple Owls in the third round of the 2015 WNIT.

In a game which featured nine ties and 10 lead changes, the Pack was beaten by a mid-range jumper off the glass from a fading away Feyonda Fitzgerald with one second remaining in the overtime period.

The Wolfpack was without multiple players due to injury and an NCAA ruling on freshman Bosnian center Sara Boric, circumstances which have had the cumulative effect of seeing five student-athletes on the team miss a combined 81 games throughout the season.

NC State had five Wolfpackers score in double figures, as Dominique Wilson (18 points) Len'Nique Brown-Hoskin (16), Jennifer Mathurin (12), Chelsea Nelson (11), and Carlee Schuhmacher (10) all had strong offensive showings for the Pack. Nelson's 11 were a career high, and Brown-Hoskin ended her career just short of 1,000 career points at 997 (883 at NC State).
