Oshrine Named ACC Men's Golfer of the Month

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - Duke's Matt Oshrine has been named the ACC Men's Golfer of the Month for March.

Oshrine picked up his first win as a member of the Duke men's golf program when he fired back-to-back rounds in the 60s to claim the individual medal at the Seahawk Intercollegiate at the Country Club of Landfall. Oshrine's winning total of 137 tied the tournament's 36-hole record.

A junior from Baltimore, Maryland, Oshrine finished second as an individual at the Cape Fear National Intercollegiate from March 13-14. He shot 210 (-6) at the event, posting rounds of 72-69-69. Combined with his winning performance at the Seahawk Intercollegiate, Oshrine had a 69.40 stroke average on the month, shooting at par or better in all five rounds and posting four rounds in the 60s.

With the 2015-16 regular season winding down, ACC teams have two more weekends of competition before the ACC Men's Golf Championship, held April 22-24 at the Old North State Club in New London, North Carolina. Coverage will be available on ESPN3 on Saturday and Sunday.
