NCAA Women’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Selections Announced

ACC earns 16 singles bids; six pairs selected for doubles tournament

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Sixteen Atlantic Coast Conference student-athletes earned a trip to the 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Singles Championship. The 64-player tournament will be held at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma from May 25-30.

The ACC Player of the Year, North Carolina’s Hayley Carter, earned the ACC’s automatic qualifying position and will be the No. 1 seed. Virginia’s Danielle Collins was selected as the No. 2 seed, and Miami’s Sinead Lohan was named the No. 8 seed.

Six ACC tandems were selected for the 32-team doubles tournament, headlined by the ACC’s automatic qualifier and top-seeded pair of North Carolina’s Carter and Whitney Kay.
