Lohan, Mansouri and Renaud Named ACC Tennis Players of the Week

Trio combine for seven ranked wins in singles and doubles play

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Miami’s Sinead Lohan, Wake Forest’s Skander Mansouri and Georgia Tech’s Johnnise Renaud have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Tennis Players of the Week.

Lohan earned Co-Female Player of the Week after guiding the Hurricanes to two ranked wins last week, over No. 12 Virginia and No. 53 Boston College. A native of Waterford, Ireland, the sophomore went 2-0 in singles, notching victories against No. 16 Julia Elbaba of Virginia and No. 113 Lexi Borr of Boston College. In doubles, Lohan partnered with teammate Ana Madcur to take down Virginia’s pair of Elbaba and Cassie Mercer.

The Male Player of the Week, Mansouri helped Wake Forest earn two ranked road wins this past week. The sophomore from Tunis, Tunisia defeated all three of the ranked opponents he faced in singles and doubles. Mansouri claimed wins against No. 12 Benjamin Lock of Florida State, and Miami’s No. 38 Piotr Lomacki in singles, and in doubles, he and partner Christian Seraphim defeated the No. 11 duo of Lock and Marco Nunez from Florida State.

Renaud was named Co-Female Player of the Week after earning two wins over ranked opponents, as her Yellow Jackets went 2-0 on the week. A sophomore from North Miami, Florida, Renaud defeated Clemson’s 52nd-ranked Ayan Broomfield, and No. 85 Audrey Ann Blakely from Pitt. Renaud and teammate Rasheeda McAdoo defeated Clemson’s pair of Tristen Dewar and Ally Miller-Krasilnikov, as well as the doubles team of Lolade Ogungbesan and Callie Frey from Pitt. The Yellow Jackets earned victories over No. 25 Clemson and Pitt.
