DUKE (11-3 ACC | 24-3 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE:

AP: UVA 2, Duke 4

KenPom: UVA 2, Duke 8

RPI: UVA 3, Duke 4

The world disagrees with me, but I’m sticking with the Blue Devils… for now.

VIRGINIA (13-1 ACC | 25-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: It’s bad when 1 key player goes down with an injury. But 2 at once? Malcolm Brogdon returned to the game a few minutes later. London Perrantes now looks like DeNiro as Jake LaMotta. I hope The Piranha back soon.

NOTRE DAME (12-3 ACC | 24-4 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: The Irish are in a good position to get a top 3 seed in Greensboro… and a 3 seed in the NCAA Tourney as well.

NORTH CAROLINA (9-5 ACC | 19-8 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: UNC running the 4 Corners to honor Dean Smith is my 2nd favorite basketball moment of the weekend. My favorite: Roy Williams’ reaction after the Tar Heels score. Is there anyone UNC fans would rather have at the helm as they say good-bye to Dean? No way.

LOUISVILLE (9-5 ACC | 21-6 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Chris Jones is gone. If he was as combustable as all the reports say, this will help in the locker room. But I can’t imagine this makes them better for the 40 minutes they face an opponent. It may be time to reconsider their postseason upside.

PITT (7-7 ACC | 18-10 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Jamie Dixon is going to do it again. Just when you took your eyes off the Pitt program, he’s going to lead them to 20 wins. Again. Just like every other year since he took over. An NCAA bid looks like it could happen again, too.

NC STATE (7-7 ACC | 16-11 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: The Pack is playing well. It’s not playing well. It’s playing well again. It’s not playing well again. What a roller coaster. But the 3rd-toughest schedule in the country and 4 Top-50 wins should be enough--unless the Pack loses to BC. But would that surprise anyone?

SYRACUSE (8-6 ACC | 17-10 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Once the Cuse self-sanctioned, they probably fell off your radar. I’ve made my case for Rakeem Christmas several times. But, also look at what Michael Gbinije is doing. He’s been fantastic in conference play. Will he make my ACC Top 25? Hmmmm….

CLEMSON (7-8 ACC | 15-12 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Jaron Blossomgame is the only Clemson player who has played more than 27% of the team’s minutes with an ORating over 100. Yes, this team struggles to score. And, yes, Blossomgame is the real deal.

MIAMI (7-7 ACC | 17-10 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Yes, Miami’s overall postseason profile is solid. But this team isn’t going anywhere if Angel Rodriguez keeps struggling. And he’s been struggling for a month--21% FGs.

FLORIDA STATE (7-8 ACC | 15-13 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Lenny Ham has his young team playing its best ball right now. It’s probably going to take a couple of wins to get a postseason bid. That won’t be easy.

WAKE FOREST (4-10 ACC | 12-15 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Everyone sees the team is playing harder.. tougher.. with more consistent effort. But I love that Danny Manning isn’t giving lipservice to moral victories. The guy wants to win. He will. A lot.

VIRGINIA TECH (2-12 ACC | 10-17 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: The Hokies might lose 20 games. And yet, you’d be hard pressed to find ACC basketball fans who are more optimistic right now about the future than the ones in Blacksburg.

GEORGIA TECH (3-12 ACC | 12-15 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Proof that this team deserves more credit: KenPom ranks them 79th in the nation. Only 1 other school with a losing record is ranked higher: Florida. This team is pretty good. But night after night, not quite good enough..

BOSTON COLLEGE (1-13 ACC | 9-17 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: I’m ready to move Olivier Hanlan into my ACC Top 10 players. But it’s just tough to win ACC games with the worst defense in the conference.
