RANK SCHOOL JEFF FISCHEL'S TOP 5 POINT GUARDS

1

BRICE JOHNSON

JEFF'S TAKE: As of right now, ACC POY is down to 4 names for me: Grayson Allen, Cat Barber, Malcolm Brogdon and Brice Johnson. I don't know who I'd pick. But Johnson is the only big man of the 4, and clearly the conference's best post player.

2

MICHAEL YOUNG

JEFF'S TAKE: Michael is playing a lot of 5, but in reality he's a 3/4. The benefit of this is that he can bring his man out 15-17 feet from the hoop, and Young will crush you facing the bucket or getting to the rim. The downside is that he's not a great rim protector on defense.

3

ANTHONY GILL

JEFF'S TAKE: Here's your fun Anthony Gill stat for the week:
2-pt FG%
2016 58.4%
2015 58.4%
2014 58.7%
His hair changes, but his game is a model of consistency.

4

CHINANU ONUAKU

JEFF'S TAKE: Onuaku has been a difference maker since January 1. And overall, you can see why he's so valuable. Here are my post guys ranked 1-10.

5

ZACH AUGUSTE

JEFF'S TAKE: As I write this, 2 ACC players are averaging a double double. Brice Johnson and Zach Auguste. (You could add Devin Thomas if you want to round up.) Auguste is the perfect 5 man for Mike Brey's beautiful offense--he has a diverse offensive game, but knows he's the guy who has to do a lot of the dirty work.
