RANK
(previous)
SCHOOL (Record)
1. --- | Last: #1

Florida State (8-0 ACC | 12-0 overall)
Last: W 24-19 vs. Florida | Next: 12/6 vs. Georgia Tech (#ACCFCG) Jeff's Take: The Seminoles kept it interesting again vs Florida. Sure, the formula could work for 3 more close wins. But, you’re playing against odds that even Ron Burgundy knows don’t add up.

2. --- | Last: #2

Georgia Tech (6-2 ACC | 10-2 overall)
Last: W 30-24 vs. Georgia | Next: 12/6 vs. Florida State (#ACCFCG) Jeff's Take: The Yellow Jackets will forever remember the incredible ending vs UGA as The Kick & The Pick. Next: FSU. But even with a win, the CFP odds aren’t good.

3. 1 | Last: #4

Clemson (6-2 ACC | 9-3 overall)
Last: W 35-17 vs. South Carolina Jeff's Take: The Tigers leap over Louisville because of 2 words: Deshaun Watson. Oh wait, 5 more: Playing. With. A. Torn. ACL. Wowzers.

4. 1 | Last: #3

Louisville (5-3 ACC | 9-3 overall)
Last: W 44-40 vs. Kentucky Jeff's Take: Who had Kyle Bolin on your Kentucky-UofL Bingo card? When this happened, I really thought the day couldn’t get any more unpredictable.

5. --- | Last: #5

Boston College (4-4 ACC | 7-5 overall)
Last: W 28-7 vs. Syraucse Jeff's Take: It took virtually no time for BC to assert itself against Syracuse. Which bowl game is BC headed to? Pinstripe? Find out when I announce the ACC bowl game picks Sunday at 5:30 on the ACCDN.

6. 2 | Last: #8

Duke (5-3 ACC | 9-3 overall)
Last: W 41-21 vs. Wake Forest Jeff's Take: Duke had the bulldozers ready as soon as Saturday’s game ended. Wallace Wade will be nothing but bulldozers and dirt for a while. No one loves bulldozers more than this guy.

7. 3 | Last: #10

NC State (3-5 ACC | 7-5 overall)
Last: W 35-7 vs. North Carolina Jeff's Take: Top 5 ACC QBs heading into next year (assuming Jameis is NFL-bound): Watson, Kaaya, Thomas, Williams & Brissett. The big question this week: Will the Pack get an invite to the Belk Bowl?

8. 2 | Last: #6

Miami (3-5 ACC | 6-6 overall)
Last: L 35-23 vs. Pitt Jeff's Take: That FSU game was the Canes’ Super Bowl. They checked out after that loss. It happens to a couple of teams every year. Don’t stop believin’. No reason to believe they won’t be a 9-win team in ‘15.

8. 1 | Last: #7

North Carolina (4-4 ACC | 6-6 overall)
Last: L 35-7 vs. NC State Jeff's Take: Bubba Cunningham says no, the Tar Heels won’t self-sanction. But there is an extra ACC bowl team. So, it could be UNC wandering far & wide for a bid.

8. 3 | Last: #11

Pitt (4-4 ACC | 6-6 overall)
Last: W 35-23 vs. Miami Jeff's Take: I have my fingers crossed that Pitt and Penn State end up facing each other in a bowl game.

8. 4 | Last: #12

Virginia Tech (3-5 ACC | 6-6 overall)
Last: W 24-20 vs. Virginia Jeff's Take: Nothing has come easy this year for the Hokies, including a 6th win. But Beamer & Bud are now headed to a 22nd straight bowl game.

12. 3 | Last: #9

Virginia (3-5 ACC | 5-7 overall)
Last: L 24-20 vs. Virginia Tech Jeff's Take: It’s very straightforward. Either Lambert or Johns must step up for the Cavs to become a bowl team next year. And that’s what it’ll take to avoid some major changes. I didn’t say it’d be easy, I only said it was straightforward.

13. 1 | Last: #12

Syracuse (1-7 ACC | 3-9 overall)
Last: L 28-7 vs. Boston College Jeff's Take: Combine graduations, injuries and a very tough schedule... and you end up 3-9. The problem is, the 2015 schedule isn’t a whole lot easier.

13. 1 | Last: #12

Wake Forest (1-7 ACC | 3-9 overall)
Last: L 41-21 vs. Duke Jeff's Take: Wolford. Serigne. Crump. Janvion. Lee. Allen. That’s a great young nucleus. Now, Clawson needs 6 more. And 6 more. And 6 more….
