CLEMSON (1-0 ACC | 3-0 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: You go into a hostile environment against an ACC rival and you get the W. Maybe that's good enough, but I was really hoping for more. The offensive line looked wobbly.

FLORIDA STATE (1-0 ACC | 3-0 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Another team that can't trust its O-Line. You have 1 of the top 5 RBs in the country--Dalvin Cook--and he never had any space vs. Boston College. Like Clemson, the win over the Eagles falls under the category of: Take a conference road win however you get it.

GEORGIA TECH (0-0 ACC | 2-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: The key to Notre Dame's win was the way the defense shut down the option attack. Plus, C.J. Prosise was fantastic. Forget it and move on because it's time for Duke and the start of ACC play.

VIRGINIA TECH (0-0 ACC | 2-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: I decided to jump Virginia Tech to 4. Reasons: 1) The only blemish is the loss to Ohio State, 2) they went on the road and beat a P5 team (albeit Purdue), 3) Motley has the offense moving the ball, 4) the defense and special teams look dangerous.

NC STATE (0-0 ACC | 3-0 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: The Pack did nothing wrong to drop a spot. It's just that the schedule is soft compared to Virginia Tech's. Thornton, Dayes and Samuels will be a nightmare for the ACC, especially with Brissett protecting the ball.

MIAMI (0-0 ACC | 3-0 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: It got scary, but the Canes got the win. We learned that Josephy Yearby will be 1 of the truly special backs in the ACC, if he's not already. Hey []_[], you've got to finish games. The talent is there. To be great, you must learn to put teams away.

NORTH CAROLINA (0-0 ACC | 2-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Against Illinois, Marquise Williams was special. So was Ryan Switzer. Hey, participation awards for all of the Tar Heels! Truth is, when the two of them make plays, you know UNC will score a lot. 1 more week to clean up the little things before Georgia Tech starts the ACC part of the schedule.

DUKE (0-0 ACC | 2-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Saturday was a real bummer. It's the kind of game we've started to believe that this team can win. But the passing game was nonexistent. That's unintentionally the Georgia Tech model. And if you don't fix it, it'll be tough to keep up with the Yellow Jackets on Saturday.

SYRACUSE (1-0 ACC | 3-0 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Our Big Mover! And our tweet of the week! Props to the Orange for going 3-0 for the first time since 1991, and doing it with your 3rd and 4th string QBs. LSU.. well… I don't want to think about it.

PITT (0-0 ACC | 2-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Pitt made some clutch plays, which made the end of the game at Iowa all the more frustrating. I hope Narduzzi goes for it next time on 4th and inches. Someone give that man the New Book of Football Coaching & Math Probabilities!

LOUISVILLE (0-1 ACC | 0-3 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: The defense came to play vs Clemson. I still don't know what to think about the offense. If you'd asked me before the season, I'd have said the Cards should win 8 of their last 9 games. Should I back off of that after an 0-3 start?

VIRGINIA (0-0 ACC | 1-2 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: I defended UVA for playing 2 tough opponents to start the season. But, that also means I'm going to drop them for barely beating Bill & Mary. Restore my faith, Cavaliers. Beat Boise!

BOSTON COLLEGE (0-1 ACC | 2-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: BC was going to struggle to score points all season, and then Darius Wade suffered a season-ending injury in the loss to FSU. They need a season-long (Troy) Flutie miracle.

WAKE FOREST (0-1 ACC | 2-1 OVERALL)

JEFF'S TAKE: Nice to meet you, Kendall Hinton. For a true freshman, it was a solid job stepping in for John Wolford. There were certainly flashes of something special. 3-1 is right there in front of you, Demon Deacons.
