After transferring from Florida to NC State in 2013, Jacoby Brissett took full advantage of his new opportunity in Raleigh. The six-foot-four dual-threat QB from West Palm Beach, Florida, made quite a name for himself in the ACC in 2014.

Brissett completed nearly 60 percent of his passes for 2,606 yards and 23 TDs with only 5 INTs. In fact, Jacoby ranks seventh in ACC history for most consecutive passes (187) without throwing an interception. Wolfpack nation, guess who’s numero uno on that list? Hint: he dates Ciara.

WPN can only hope Brissett commands the huddle with the same amount of leadership and poise we saw last season. After all, NC State’s offense was one of the nations most balanced in 2014, totaling 2,659 yards on the ground and 2,652 through the air.

Stat of the Day: Jacoby Brissett is the only returning player in Power 5 conferences who compiled at least 2,000+ passing yards, 300+ rushing yards, 20 passing TDs and 5 or less INTs in 2014.

Those numbers are great and all, but Brissett will tell you first hand that 2015 isn’t about individual praise.

“Each year you want to make more and more people respect you,” Brissett said at ACC Kickoff in Pinehurst. “A lot of teams don’t really respect us the way we want them to respect us. That’s our job this year; to let them know we’re for real.”

If Brissett can lead the Wolfpack to its first ACC title since 1979, that will garner a lot of respect from around the league. In this week’s ACC Get to Know, we sat down with NC State QB Jacoby Brissett and found out what really makes this guy tick.
