The second-ranked Duke men’s and fourth-ranked women’s basketball teams are off to great starts in 2012-13. Mike Hogewood says both Blue Devil squads look like the teams to beat on the hardwood in this week’s Hog Blog.
Virginia Tech won its first seven games to start the season for the first time in 30 years before losing to West Virginia Saturday.  The 8-1 Hokies are led by Erick Green, who tops the ACC and is third in the nation is scoring, averaging 24.9 points per game.  First year head coach James Johnson has the Virginia Tech fans excited and we hear from the new head Hokie.
Back in August the Virginia men’s basketball team toured The Netherlands, Belgium and France.  During their European vacation there was some unexpected team bonding.  ACC All Access features the Cavaliers trip.
ACC All Access begins its ACC Women’s Basketball Player Profiles with Nikki Dixon of Clemson.  Dixon lead the Tigers in scoring last year at 12.4 PPG and had a career high 25 points against Jacksonville on December 3rd in the Tigers 87-58 win over the Dolphins.
