North Carolina sophomore quarterback Bryn Renner went 21 for 28 for a career-high 338 yards and three touchdowns, his first career 300-yard passing game, in the Tar Heels’ 49-24 victory over Wake Forest Saturday. ACC All Access profiles Renner, who was also named the Tar Heel Performer of the Week for October 24-30.
The Clemson Tigers upset number-one ranked Maryland 2-1 in a men's ACC soccer match at Clemson on Friday night. In this week’s Hog Blog, Mike Hogewood says the Tigers showed a lot of heart for a team that was a man down for most of the match, as starting defender Jack Metcalf received a red card in the 23rd minute.
Then ACC All Access reviews the 2011 ACC Cross Country Championships, where the NC State men won their 16th ACC Cross Country title with Wolfpack runners Ryan Hill finishing first and Andrew Colley coming in second. The Florida State women dominated the course en route to the Seminoles fourth straight ACC Women’s Cross Country championship, with six athletes finishing in the Top 10 to score 20 points, tying the 2005 Duke team for the lowest points in ACC history. North Carolina’s Kendra Schaaf won the ACC Women’s Individual title.
