On ACC ALL ACCESS This Week: Starting On Wednesday, October 12

Oct. 12, 2011

Maryland men's soccer forward Casey Townsend was named last week's national and ACC player of the week after leading the Terrapins to a third-place spot in this week's NSCAA Men's Soccer National Rankings. ACC All Access spotlights Townsend, whose 11 goals on the season are second in the ACC and tied for third in the country.

This week ACC All Access profiles NC State quarterback Mike Glennon, who currently leads the ACC in touchdown passes with 16. Glennon passed for 244 yards and four touchdowns to help North Carolina State beat Central Michigan 38-24 on Saturday.

For the first time in school history the Wake Forest football squad has won its first three ACC games, resulting in a tie with Clemson for first place in the ACC Atlantic Division. The Demon Deacons also boast an overall record of 4-1, which was last achieved by the team in 2006 when the Deacons won the ACC Championship. Mike Hogewood says fans shouldn't be surprised if Wake Forest is back on top of the podium in Charlotte this December hoisting the ACC Championship trophy in the ACC All Access Hog Blog.
