ACC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Announces Blog

(Greensboro, N.C.) - The Atlantic Coast Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is introducing a new feature on in hopes of giving a chance for the public to get a peek at the life of a student-athlete.

ACC SAAC members will be blogging at on a variety of different subjects with an entry highlighted each month at

There will be a theme each month for the blog, but the student-athletes have free reign to blog about anything and everything.

The first entry is a retrospective on the University of Miami's 9/11 memorial written by Miami Cross Country and Track & Field student-athlete Connor Adams.

The blog was created with intents to show student-athlete's lives and personalities outside of their sports, as well as highlight the various activities of each campus SAAC within the ACC.

"This blog is just one of many platforms in which SAAC and the student-athletes of the ACC can share some of their experiences. The student-athletes in the ACC are involved in so many activities away from their sport that often times gets overlooked; we want to bring some of those activities and stories out into the public with this blog," Shamaree Brown, Director of Student-Athlete Programs & Compliance at the ACC said. "Followers will see some of the personalities of student-athletes, their community service efforts, their challenges and successes, and the many activities that student-athletes are involved in. "
