Swimming:

  • Virginia Tech’s Katarina Filova (Slovakia) finished sixth in the fourth heat of the Women’s 100m freestyle preliminaries with a time of 56.58.
  • Virginia’s David Karasek (Switzerland) finished seventh in the second heat of the 200m IM preliminaries with a time of 2:01.35.
  • Georgia Tech’s Gal Nevo (Israel) finished fifth in the fifth heat of the Men’s 200m IM preliminaries with a time of 2:01.35. He advanced to the semifinals where he finished fourth in the first heat with a time of 1:59.17.
  • Virginia Lauren Perdue (United States) swam as part of the 4x200 freestyle relay that captured Gold.

Diving:

  • Miami’s Reuben Ross (Canada) finished sixth in the Men’s Synchronized 3m springboard with partner Alexandre Despatie with a score of 421.83.

Volleyball:

  • Miami’s Ciara Michel and Savannah Leaf (Great Britain) fell to Italy 3-0. Leaf had 12 spikes, 4 digs and 2 blocks while Michel registered 10 spikes, 2 digs and 10 blocks.
