As Georgia Tech continues to celebrate 50 years of desegregation on its campus, the school hosted the “Shades of Greatness” exhibit, a traveling art display from the Negro League Hall of Fame, at the Georgia Tech Library Neely Gallery. The Yellow Jacket baseball team attended a panel discussion on Negro League baseball and met 95-year-old James “Red” Moore, who was one of the best first baseman in the Negro League during the 1930’s and 1940’s. Fred Hickman reports on the Georgia Tech baseball team’s experience.

A year ago the Maryland Women’s Lacrosse team won the NCAA title. The Terrapins are going for back-to-back national championships and have advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals. The Terps documented their run for the ACC Championship and gave ACC All Access a behind-the-scenes look at the team.

And ACC All Access profiles the Virginia Cavaliers baseball team, which is number one in the latest Collegiate Baseball Poll thanks to its pitching staff. The Cavaliers are second in the NCAA in earned run average and strikeouts, with junior ace Danny Hultzen leading the ACC in strikeouts with 121 and junior right hander Will Roberts having not lost a game this season in 13 starts and pitching the ACC’s second perfect game on March 29th in a 2-0 win over George Washington.
