Atlantic Coast Conference Re-Launches Official Website

Feb. 17, 2010

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) - The Atlantic Coast Conference today unveiled a new look to its official website, theACC.com, with a redesign that provides ACC fans with easier access to more ACC news and information than ever before.

One of the most notable enhancements to the new site is an enlarged video player and a correspondingly large increase in ACC video content that is available on the site. In addition, fans will also notice a prominent gateway that allows more ways to interact with the ACC via a pair of downloadable tools – a browser toolbar and a desktop communicator – that connect to the site’s features; an improved GameTracker device to follow games online; an ACC video vault with expanded content offerings; access to the ACC’s e-mail newsletters; and direct links to the Conference’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube social networking platforms.

“The redesign of theACC.com has allowed us to take a fresh approach both from a design and content perspective,” said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. “Our goal will be to continue finding new ways to incorporate exclusive content and opportunities for fans to follow the Atlantic Coast Conference and its member institutions.”

Visitors to the “new” theACC.com will notice special tabs that provide easy navigation to complete coverage of all ACC Championships and will continue to enjoy free, live-streaming of select ACC Championship events beginning with this week’s ACC Swimming and Diving Championships.

The website, which is part of the CBS College Sports Network, provides exclusive promotional opportunities for ACC fans such as special “Register-to-Win” promotions and the ability to join the all-new ACC Kids Club. From a shopping perspective, theACC.com’s online store provides fans with a “one-stop shop” that provides a larger selection of ACC merchandise from both ACC schools and ACC Championships than ever before. In addition, the website also offers a brand-new DVD store.

The enhancements to theACC.com are part of the ACC’s continued efforts to provide excellence in every aspect for fans of the Atlantic Coast Conference and its member institutions.
