Five Named D1Baseball Midseason All-Americans

Clemson’s Beer and Lee earn individual awards

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Five ACC baseball players were named to D1Baseball’s Midseason All-America Team, while Clemson’s Seth Beer and Monte Lee garnered individual accolades as announced Friday by the website.

The five honorees from the ACC are the most from any league in the country.

Clemson’s Beer, one day after being named the Midseason Player and Freshman of the Year by Perfect Game, swept D1Baseball’s Midseason Top Player and Top Freshman honors. Lee, in his first season with the Tigers, was named the Midseason Coach of the Year after Clemson finished the first half with a 22-7 record. The Tigers are ranked as high as No. 12 in this week’s polls.

Joining Beer on the D1Baseball Midseason All-America Team are Miami junior catcher Zack Collins, Louisville second baseman Nick Solak, Wake Forest junior designated hitter Will Craig, and Louisville junior pitcher Brendan McKay.
