ACC leads all leagues with seven appearances in the primetime Monday night slot
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Atlantic Coast Conference women’s basketball will be prominently featured on ESPN2’s Big Monday Presented by Verizon in 2015. Four games, including three ACC matchups and seven total appearances by league teams, will be a part of the 2015 Big Monday nine-game slate over seven weeks.
Notre Dame will appear three times, while Duke and Louisville will play in two games apiece.
Notre Dame opens Big Monday hosting Tennessee on January 19 at 7 p.m. The Fighting Irish have won their last four meetings with the Lady Vols, including an 86-70 victory in Knoxville last season.
Duke and Louisville will meet in their first Big Monday games on February 2 at 7 p.m. at Cameron Indoor Stadium. This will be the first meeting between the Cardinals and the Blue Devils as members of the ACC and the first overall meeting since the 1997-98 season.
Two weeks later on February 16, the Blue Devils travel to Notre Dame for Rivalry Week and a 9 p.m. tipoff as part of a Big Monday doubleheader.
The following week, Notre Dame and Louisville renew their rivalry on February 23 in a 7 p.m. game at Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center in support of Play 4Kay.
All Big Monday telecasts will also be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
The ACC will enjoy a strong presence on ESPN family of networks during the 2014-15 season with at least 36 games broadcast exclusively on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN3.
