GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke senior midfielder Sean Davis has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after leading the Blue Devils to a win over No. 1 North Carolina last week.

Davis tallied a goal and an assist to lead unranked Duke to a 2-1 upset over the top-ranked Tar Heels. He capitalized on a 25-yard free kick to tie the game at 1-1 and assisted on what proved to be the game-winning goal six minutes later. The native of Holmdel, N.J., ranks second on the team in points with a goal and a team-best four assists.

The win was the first for Duke over rival North Carolina in Davis’ career and marked the first time North Carolina had given up two goals all season.
