GREENSBORO, N.C. – Boston College’s Trevor Davock has been named the ACC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Syracuse’s Kamal Miller was tabbed as Defensive Player of the Week.
Davock recorded a hat trick with three goals in a 5-4 overtime win over NC State on Saturday night. The sophomore forward from Medway, Massachusetts, scored the match’s first goal in the third minute and then scored again in the 23rd minute to put the Eagles on top, 2-1. His third strike came in the 70th minute to make it a 4-3 Eagle lead. Those were the only three shots he took all night and they were his first three goals of the season.
Miller played a crucial role in Syracuse’s 1-1 tie against No. 2 Wake Forest. After the Demon Deacons took a 1-0 lead, Miller recorded his second goal of the season at the 35:00 mark. The sophomore from Pickering, Ontario, anchored the Orange’s defense which held Wake Forest to just one goal despite playing a man down for more than 104 minutes.
