Brandon Chubb Earns Pop Warner College Football Award

The award recognizes a graduating senior who has made a difference on the field, in the classroom and in his community.

ORLANDO, Fla. (wakeforestsports.com) – Wake Forest senior linebacker Brandon Chubb has been named as the recipient of the Sixth Annual Pop Warner College Football Award. The award recognizes a graduating senior who has made a difference on the field, in the classroom and in his community, which are attributes Pop Warner emphasizes with its young scholar-athletes.

Chubb received the award on Wednesday, Dec. 9 in Orlando at the Pop Warner Super Bowl at the Walt Disney World of Sports Complex.

Chubb was a first team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection by the media and coaches in 2015. He led the Demon Deacons with 107 tackles and six quarterback hurries and finished third in the ACC in tackles. He finished second on the team with 8.5 tackles for loss. With 326 career tackles, Chubb finished 10th in school history in career tackles.

Chubb earned the Pop Warner Award after being a finalist along with UCLA offensive lineman Jake Brendel, Duke safety Jeremy Cash and Army West Point running back Matt Giachinta.

The Pop Warner College Football Award is presented in December at the annual Pop Warner Super Bowl at Walt Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla. The last two awards were presented to former University of Nebraska defensive back and current New York Giant Prince Amukamara and former Stanford University safety and current New England Patriot Jordan Richards.
