#ACCFH Book Drive Benefits Lakewood Elementary

DURHAM, N.C. – ACC field hockey and its fans took part in a book drive as part of the 2014 ACC Field Hockey Championship.

Fans were encouraged to bring gently used books for ages 5-10 during the tournament, which was held Thursday through Sunday at Duke’s Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. Almost 100 books were collected and donated to local Lakewood Elementary School.

“We are thrilled with the support that our great fans showed this week,” said Ashley Champigny, ACC Assistant Director for Championships. “We were able to get a great collection of books to donate, and hopefully the students at Lakewood Elementary will enjoy reading them.”
