ACC Women’s Golfer of the Month Announced

Duke’s Boutier recognized following LSU Tiger Classic victory

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Duke senior Celine Boutier has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Golfer of the Month for March.

Boutier claimed her fourth collegiate victory at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic by recording rounds of 67, 72 and 69 for a 54-hole total of 208. She won by a Duke-record 14 strokes and tied for the tournament lead with 12 total birdies during the week. The 54-hole total of 208 equaled her career-best three-day ledger and ranks tied for ninth on the Duke record book for a par 72 course. Along with the individual title, Duke won as a team as well against eight other ranked opponents.

For the month, Boutier played in two tournaments and posted a 72.33 stroke average. Boutier also competed in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate and placed tied 45th with rounds of 76, 80 and 70. Boutier’s four wins also ties for ninth on Duke’s all-time charts with Beth Bauer and Leigh Anne Hardin. On the season, Boutier owns four top 20 finishes and two top five placements.
