ACC Welcomes Local Teachers of the Year at ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament

Guilford County Schools 2015-16 Teacher of the Year finalists invited to championship game.

GREENSBORO, NC – The Atlantic Coast Conference continued an initiative to recognize local Teachers of the Year, by inviting them to ACC Championship events. The Guilford County Schools 2015-16 Teacher of the Year finalists and their guests were invited to attend the championship game of the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament.

“The value of an outstanding teacher is immeasurable,” ACC Commissioner John Swofford said. “The ACC is proud to welcome this impressive group to the tournament and thankful to have them in our community.”

This year’s finalists for GCS Teacher of the Year are Janis Antonek, UNCG Middle College; Amanda Browning, Northern Middle; Fanisha Fuller, Oak Hill Elementary; Cassandra Hultgren Ott, Jefferson Elementary, and Eric Pryor, Dudley High.

2016 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament: The 2016 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament will be played March 2-6 in the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The 15-team tournament will be capped off by the ACC Championship game at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, which will be nationally televised on ESPN.
