GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament will have a new look this week as the league will debut a custom-made court for the annual tournament that runs March 2-6 at the Greensboro Coliseum. This marks the first time the ACC has produced a unique, custom court for its women’s basketball tournament.
"This new court will be a terrific addition to the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament and will only enhance and elevate what is arguably the premier women's conference championship in the country," said ACC Commissioner John Swofford.
The maple hardwood court manufactured by Connor Sports incorporates the league’s tournament logo and brand initiatives. The ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament logo, that integrates the façade of the Greensboro Coliseum, will be at center court with logo’s colors included throughout the court design. The color scheme includes the ACC’s primary colors as well as pink and green. The logo and court unite the tournament with the Greensboro Coliseum, the perennial home of the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament since 2000.
The 39th annual tournament will tip off on Wednesday, March 2 at 1 p.m. and will conclude with the Championship game on Sunday, March 6 at 12:30 p.m.
Tickets may be purchased at http://theacc.co/WBB15tix via Ticketmaster’s charge-by-phone network at 1-800-745-3000 and at the Coliseum box office.
