Wake Forest’s Christian Seraphim and North Carolina’s Caroline Price earn honors
GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Wake Forest’s Christian Seraphim and North Carolina’s Caroline Price have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Tennis Players of the Week.
Seraphim helped the Demon Deacons to a 3-0 weekend, including victories over No. 20 Tennessee and No. 23 South Carolina. The Munich, Germany native finished a perfect 5-0 on the week including a match-clinching victory against Tennessee with a come-from-behind singles win. Seraphim upset two ranked doubles duos, including the No. 2 pairing in the nation.
Price, ranked No. 22 nationally in singles, posted a perfect 8-0 record while leading North Carolina to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship, the second in the last three years for the Tar Heels. The senior won all four singles matches on consecutive days, and clinched the title with a victory on court three against Georgia on Monday. She lost only one set in the four-day event.
