Georgia Tech Junior leads No. 23 Yellow Jackets to weekend sweep
GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Georgia Tech’s Rasheeda McAdoo has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.
McAdoo earned wins in both singles and doubles in Georgia Tech’s 7-0 defeat of visiting UAB. The junior paired up with sophomore Johnnise Renaud to clinch the doubles point for Tech with a 6-1 victory on court one over UAB’s Pardis Kianoush and Elaine Simon. She then played in the No. 1 singles position for the first time in her career, defeating Kianoush 6-1, 6-2. McAdoo is currently ranked No. 92 nationally in women’s singles.
