ACC Swimming and Diving: Worrell Takes Weekly Honor Presented by Havoline

Louisville senior posts NCAA A-cut time over the weekend

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Louisville swimmer Kelsi Worrell has been named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Swimmer of the Week.

Worrell earned Female Swimmer of the Week honors after posting an NCAA A-cut time of 1:51.36 in the 200 fly at the Cardinals’ First Chance Meet. The senior won the event at last year’s NCAA Championships in 1:51.11 and was .25 off that mark to finish first in Louisville’s final meet before the 2016 ACC Championships.

The 2016 ACC Women’s Swimming & Diving and Men’s Diving Championships begin February 17 and run through February 20. The ACC Men’s Swimming Championships run from February 24-27. A live video stream of event finals will be available on ESPN3 on Thursday through Saturday starting at 6 p.m.
