ACC Network Tip-off Special Set to Air Beginning this Weekend

Syndicated program will preview the upcoming ACC basketball season with hosts Tom Werme, Cory Alexander and Mike Gminski

Charlotte, N.C. – Raycom Sports will preview the upcoming Atlantic Coast Conference basketball season beginning this weekend with the “ACC Network Tip-off Special,” syndicated to over 100 markets and hosted by Tom Werme, Cory Alexander and Mike Gminski. The team will preview all 15 ACC schools, and look back at Virginia’s run to last year’s regular season and ACC Tournament titles.

The show will feature profiles on a pair of guards, North Carolina’s Marcus Paige and Notre Dame’s Jerian Grant. Paige, the preseason ACC Player of the Year and preseason All-American, returns for his junior season after becoming the first Tar Heel point guard since Phil Ford to earn First-Team All-ACC honors as a sophomore. Grant, a fifth-year senior, returns to lead the Fighting Irish after only playing in 12 games last year due to struggles off the court. The talented offensive player is one of the best perimeter shooters in college basketball.

The impact of Louisville joining the conference this season will also be covered, while Alexander and Gminski will give their insights on the season and give their season predictions. And Werme will preview some of the ACC Network’s marquee games.

In addition, get a preview of the fourth season of the acclaimed series, “Kings of Court.” Catch a sneak peek of some of the ACC Legend profiles for this upcoming season featuring Duke’s Christian Laettner, North Carolina’s Charlie Scott and Wake Forest’s Josh Howard.
