ACC Men’s Tennis: Bracket Released for 2015 ACC Championship

GREENSBORO, N.C. ( – Virginia holds the top seed for the 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Tennis Championship, which begins on Thursday, April 23 at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.

The Cavaliers (20-3, 12-0 ACC) will play on Friday morning after receiving a bye to the quarterfinals, taking on the winner of No. 8 Florida State (18-9, 6-6) versus No. 9 NC State (17-10, 5-7). Virginia enters the championship having won the last eight championships and ten of the previous 11.

Along with Florida State and NC State, other first round matchups include No. 5 Duke (21-5, 8-4) taking on No. 12 Miami (7-16, 1-11), No. 4 North Carolina (19-9, 8-4) battling No. 13 Boston College (5-16, 0-12), No. 6 Louisville (23-7, 7-5) squaring off against No. 11 Clemson (11-15, 2-10) and No. 7 Notre Dame (14-10, 6-6) playing No. 10 Georgia Tech (12-11, 4-8).

In addition to Virginia, teams that received first-round byes include No. 2 Virginia Tech (19-3, 10-2) and No. 3 Wake Forest (20-6, 9-3).

Action in the 2015 ACC Men’s Tennis Championship is set to start at 9 a.m. on Thursday morning and will conclude on Sunday, April 26 at 10 a.m. with the championship match.

A live video stream will be available on ESPN3 for the Saturday men’s semifinal that has the highest remaining seed and Sunday’s championship match, with Shawn Kenney handling play-by-play and Brian Clark adding analysis.
