ACC Mascots Participate in Outreach during ACC Tournament

League mascots to visit with Kimball and Orr Elementary Schools, Hart Middle School.

GREENSBORO, NC – The Atlantic Coast Conference mascots will visit with children at Kimball and Orr Elementary Schools from 12:00-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8 and Hart Middle School from 2:30-3:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 as part of outreach initiatives for the 2016 New York Life ACC Tournament. During the visits, children will have the opportunity to play basketball and take photos with their favorite ACC mascots.

The schools were selected through Most Valuable Kids, which offers children's organizations access to professional and collegiate sports and entertainment events through an online ticket donation and reward system. MVK overcomes the financial obstacles associated with live events by distributing unused tickets to children that would enjoy the opportunity to go to an event, but would otherwise not be able to because of the high costs associated with tickets. These tickets are distributed to boys and girls, 18 and under, through the numerous organizations that focus on children in low-income and underserved households in the DMV Area. More information on the group can be found at

Media interested in attending the visits should contact Anne Byrnes ( or Camille Williams ( for Kimball Elementary School; Marlon Ray ( for Orr Elementary School; and Ann Brogioli or Lisa Aleshire (202-330-3393) for Hart Middle School.
