ACC Football Impact Players: Louisville

Keith Kelsey, LB, Senior

Kelsey started all 13 games in 2015, recording a team and career-high 107 tackles along with 11.5 tackles for loss and three sacks. He was named first team All-ACC by the media and awarded Louisville’s Defensive Grinder Award.

Devante Fields, LB, Senior

In his first season with the Cardinals, Fields showed why he was one of the top JUCO recruits in the country. He led the team with 11 sacks and led the country with 22.5 tackles for loss. Named Louisville’s Defensive Player of the Year, we’re still trying to figure out how Fields came out of 2015 with only an All-ACC Honorable Mention selection.

Lamar Jackson, QB, Sophomore

As a freshman, Jackson started eight games for the Cardinals and appeared in 12. He set Louisville single-season and career quarterback rushing records with 960 yards. On his way to being named the Music City Bowl MVP, Jackson became just the third quarterback to rush and pass for 200 yards in bowl game history.
