The ACC Digital Network Brings Back “Guest Reporter Search” Campaign

 

Provides Opportunity for Students or Alumni to Cover the 2015 New York Life ACC Tournament

Charlotte, N.C.: The ACC Digital Network (@theACCDN) announced that its bringing back its “Guest Reporter Search” campaign to find a special reporter to join its coverage team on site at the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, NC on March 10-14.  The ACCDN and theACC.com are actively searching for college students and alumni who want to get into the field, or simply want the chance to join host Jeff Fischel through the Guest Reporter opportunity.    The ACCDN is looking for writers, reporters and social media gurus of all ages that have a passion for college sports, the ACC, and most importantly their favorite team.

I knew that this opportunity would be a great learning experience.” said Taylor Cunningham NC State Senior and 2014 ACCDN Guest Reporter. “The ACCDN family made me feel so welcomed and provided valuable feedback. The Guest Reporter campaign offered is such a privilege to anyone looking to enter the sports broadcasting industry.”

 “We met so many creative and passionate personalities through our initial campaign this fall, many of which we will continue to build relationships with,” said Natalie Jenkins, Director of Marketing for the ACCDN.  “After all, we are a college sports network so it is fitting that we would continue offer these kinds of experiences to those looking to get into this business, and look forward to another Guest Reporter joining us in Greensboro this March.”

To enter, interested fans simply need to submit a 1:00 minute video or a 500 word article covering a unique ACC Sports storyline and complete the entry form at theACC.com/GuestReporter.  Once an entry is approved, it’s up to the contestants during the judging period to show how well they will perform as a sports reporter by engaging with @theACCDN and using the wide variety of ACCDN sports videos to highlight their favorite team.  Winners will be selected based on personality, creativity and the ability to promote the ACCDN content related to their school. While a journalism or communications degree is preferred, experience is not necessary to win.  Some contestants may be invited to participate as a guest on an ACCDN video segment or have their article featured on theACC.com.
