ACC Basketball: Three League Teams Among AP Preseason Top Six

North Carolina tops poll; Duke No. 5, Virginia No. 6, Notre Dame No. 19

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – North Carolina is ranked No. 1 in the 2015-16 Associated Press men’s basketball preseason poll released on Monday. The Tar Heels lead three ACC teams ranked among the top six and four among the top 19.
                         
UNC received 35 first-place votes, 25 more than second-ranked Kentucky. Defending national champion Duke ranks fifth, while Virginia received one first-place vote and is ranked sixth. Defending ACC champion Notre Dame is ranked 19th.

The ACC also placed three teams among the top six of the USA Today Coaches Top 25 released last month, with UNC sharing the top spot with Kentucky, Duke at No. 4 and Virginia at No. 6. Notre Dame was ranked 18th in the coaches poll.
