ACC Baseball: Four Named to Perfect Game Midseason All-America Team

Wake Forest’s Will Craig named Midseason Player of the Year

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Four ACC Baseball student-athletes were named to Perfect Game’s Midseason College Baseball All-America Team, announced Wednesday. In addition, the publication recognized Wake Forest’s Will Craig as the national Midseason Player of the Year. 

The four league players recognized were Louisville UT Brendan McKay, Miami 3B David Thompson, Virginia SP Nathan Kirby, and Wake Forest 1B Craig. The four from the ACC are the most from any conference.

Craig ranks atop the nation in RBIs, home runs and total bases. The Johnson City, Tennessee, native also ranks in the top 20 nationally in slugging, hits, batting average, doubles, on-base percentage and runs. On the mound, Craig has earned a slot as Wake Forest's Saturday starter. He has a 1-1 record, most recently tossing 6.0 innings of one-run ball in a win at Clemson.
