ACC Announces 2015 New York Life ACC Tournament Schedule of Events & Initiatives

Week of events includes Legends Luncheon, FanFest and more.

GREENSBORO, NC – Below is information on a number of initiatives surrounding the 2015 New York Life ACC Tournament. For more information on each, please click the link in the title.

Monday Practices

Team practices on Monday, March 9 are open to the public. The schedule is as follows:

11:00 a.m.       Boston College
12:00 p.m.       Georgia Tech
1:00 p.m.         Wake Forest
2:00 p.m.         Virginia Tech
5:00 p.m.         Pittsburgh
6:00 p.m.         Florida State
7:00 p.m.         Miami

Coverage & Social Information

The tournament will begin on Tuesday and will conclude with a primetime championship game on Saturday. All games will be nationally televised on ESPN and the ACC Network. ACC Championship App

The Official ACC Championship App can be found as a free download in the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores. The app consists of a variety of extensive content designed to enhance the game-day experience by delivering schedules, maps, live game radio broadcast audio, live game scores and stats, real-time social streams and more.

Teachers of the Year

The ACC continued an initiative to recognize local Teachers of the Year by inviting them to ACC Championship events. The Guilford County Schools 2015 Teacher of the Year finalists and their guests were invited to attend the championship game of the New York Life ACC Tournament.

Wounded Warrior Project, National Anthem & Flag Ceremony

The ACC is once again collaborating with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to invite WWP injured service members and their guests to the championship game of the New York Life ACC Tournament. The twenty invited Warriors and family members will have VIP hospitality at FanFest and Championship Game tickets. In addition, two of these heroes will take part in a special pregame ceremony on the court. The National Anthem will be sung by (TBD).  The colors will be presented by the Air Force Reserves.

YMCA Shootout

The Finals of the inaugural ACC Shootout will take place on Wednesday, March 11th at the New York Life ACC Tournament.  The ACC partnered with the YMCA to develop and stage the local/regional shooting competitions on February 8 and 15 at 13 YMCAs throughout North Carolina.  For each round of the ACC Shootout, participants have 90 seconds to score as many points as possible while shooting from a variety of spots on the floor. 

ACC Legends Luncheon

The ACC Men’s Basketball Legends Luncheon will be held at noon on Friday, March 13 at the Sheraton Four Seasons in Greensboro, NC. The class of Legends will also be honored during a ceremony at halftime of the first semifinal game that evening. More information on this year’s Legends class can be found at

ACC FanFest

ACC FanFest, presented by the Official Corporate Champions of the ACC, will take place beginning Tuesday, March 10 and run through Saturday, March 14, with live music, games and entertainment for ACC fans. ACC FanFest will be held in and around the 30,000-square-foot Pavilion adjacent to the main entrance of the Greensboro Coliseum. The free event will feature ACC Corporate Champion attractions, live entertainment, appearances by the ACC mascots, an interactive sport court, free face painting, food/drinks, an official Tournament merchandise store, interactive games and novelty stations, daily giveaways, ACC Legends autograph signing, historical exhibits and fun for the entire family.


2015 New York Life ACC Tournament: The 2015 New York Life ACC Tournament will be played March 10-14 in the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.  The tournament will begin on Tuesday and will conclude with a primetime championship game on Saturday.
