The ACC Women's Basketball Tournament is hosting Wear Pink Wednesday on Wednesday, March 4 to honor those in the community who have been touched by cancer. Participating organizations include the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and Earlier.org, a partner of the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament. Over the course of this 16-year relationship, the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament has generated over $175,000 for Earlier.org in support of its mission to identify a biological earlier detection test for breast cancer. During a timeout of the Championship game on Sunday, March 8, a $10,000 donation will be presented on behalf of the ACC and the Greensboro Coliseum.

Teachers of the Year
The ACC continued an initiative to recognize local Teachers of the Year by inviting them to ACC Championship events. The Guilford County Schools 2015 Teacher of the Year finalists and their guests were invited to attend the championship game of the ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament.

ACC School Partnership
The ACC enters its 12th year of the “ACC Community School Day Program,” which will culminate by allowing more than 12,000 enthusiastic students - representing 12 county schools districts - to attend the 2015 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum. The PTA presidents from participating schools have also been invited and will have the opportunity to play “Simon Sez” during halftime of the 6 p.m. game. The winner will receive a $1,000 Food Lion gift card for his or her school.

In addition to school attendance at the Tournament, the No. 15 seed will visit an elementary school on Tuesday, March 3 as part of the Greensboro News & Record’s Newspapers in Education (NIE) program presented by the Official Corporate Champions of the ACC. The school visited will be the winner of the NIE “ACC Team Spirit” video contest. Top grade winners will also receive free tickets to ACC Mascot Night and other ACC prizes.

Wounded Warrior Project & National Anthem
The ACC is once again collaborating with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to invite WWP injured service members and their guests to the semifinal games on Saturday, March 7. Over 130 soldiers and family members will participate in the event.  All participants will enjoy hospitality and game tickets, and the soldiers will each be recognized on court during a pregame ceremony. In addition, Sergeant First Class Tavares Josey will be performing the national anthem before the first semifinal game.
