ACC and Wounded Warrior Project® Team Up at New York Life ACC Tournament

Local veterans to enjoy a VIP experience and participate in pregame ceremony

GREENSBORO, NC – The Atlantic Coast Conference will honor America by recognizing the men and women of the Armed Forces during the 2015 New York Life ACC Tournament championship game on Saturday, March 14.

The ACC is once again collaborating with Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) to invite WWP injured service members and their guests to the game. The twenty invited Warriors and family members will have VIP hospitality at FanFest and Championship Game tickets. In addition, two of these heroes will take part in a special pregame ceremony on the court, while the colors will be presented by the Air Force Reserves.

This marks the 10th year that the ACC and WWP have combined forces for a championship event. In addition to the ACC Tournament, the ACC and WWP team up for the ACC Football Championship Game, ACC Baseball Championship, ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament and other ACC Championships every year.

Wounded Warrior Project® is a non-profit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. With the goal of making a positive, lasting impact on the lives of injured service members, WWP is the hand extended to encourage warriors as they adjust to their new normal and achieve new triumphs.
