Three @ACCWGolf Teams Advance to NCAA Women’s Golf Championship


Duke, NC State and Virginia earn berths in 24-team field

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Duke, NC State and Virginia advanced to the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship following the final round of play Saturday in the East Regional in Tallahassee, Fla. The Blue Devils and Wolfpack tied for third with a three-round score of 4-under 860, while the Cavaliers carded a 5-over 869 to finish sixth.

All three teams will travel to the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, which will be held May 20-23 at Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.

Duke will be making its 26th appearance in the NCAA Championship while NC State earned its second championship berth in three years. Virginia will be making its seventh appearance at the NCAAs in the 11-year history of the program.

Duke was the only ACC team to make the championship field a year ago with the Blue Devils finishing second to champion Southern California by 21 shots.
