Opportunity for Students and Alumni to Cover the ACC Football Championship Game
Charlotte, N.C. -- The ACC Digital Network (ACCDN) announced a unique campaign “Guest Reporter Search,” to find a special reporter to join its coverage team on site at the ACC Football Championship Game in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, December 6.
The ACCDN and theACC.com are actively searching for college students and alumni who want to get into the field, or simply want the chance to join host Jeff Fischel on the field through the Guest Reporter opportunity. While a journalism or communications degree is preferred, experience is not necessary to win. The ACCDN is looking for writers, reporters and social media gurus of all ages that have a passion for college sports, the ACC, and most importantly their favorite team.
To enter, interested fans simply need to submit a 1:00 minute video or a 500 word article covering a unique ACC Sports storyline and complete the entry form at theACC.com/GuestReporter. Once an entry is approved, it’s up to the contestants during the judging period to show how well they will perform as a sports reporter by engaging with @theACCDN and using the wide variety of ACCDN sports videos to highlight their favorite team. Winners will be selected based on personality, creativity and the ability to promote the ACCDN content related to their school. Some contestants may be invited to participate as a guest on an ACCDN video segment or have their article featured on theACC.com.
“I can’t wait to see the creativity in the entries and engage with the new personalities that emerge through this campaign,” said ACCDN Host Jeff Fischel. “The opportunity to be on site as a member of our team for our biggest conference event is a great way to get your foot in the door, get noticed and gain the real life experience needed to be in this field.”
Fans are encouraged to follow the ACC Digital Network Guest Reporter Campaign through contestant’s activity which will be featured on twitter and instagram at @theACCDN. For complete details and campaign guidelines, visit theACC.com/GuestReporter. The deadline to enter is October 31, 2014.
