All 15 ACC Mascots will entertain Tournament fans for the 6 and 8 o’clock games.
GREENSBORO, NC – The 2014 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament will feature its fourth annual “Mascot Night presented by Food Lion” during the final session of Friday, March 7.
The mascots from each of the 15 ACC institutions will be on hand at the Greensboro Coliseum to greet and interact with patrons, pose for photos and bring family fun to those in attendance for Session 8 (6 & 8 p.m. games) of the Tournament.
“Mascot night is a value-packed night filled with entertainment,” said ACC Senior Associate Commissioner Nora Lynn Finch. “Fans have the chance to have fun with the conference’s most recognizable ‘characters’ while watching some of the top ACC teams compete on the court.”
Fans can see their favorite mascots at several different locations throughout the week. Mascots whose teams will not be competing in the Thursday evening games at the Coliseum will be at Food Lion (Palladium Shopping Center, High Point) bagging groceries and enjoying photo opportunities with customers 6 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 6.
The mascots will begin their Friday participating in the morning news (WFMY, WXII, & WGHP) from the hours of 5 – 8 a.m. The entire group will be available in FanFest, located in the Coliseum Pavilion, beginning at 4:30 p.m., while a “Meet and Greet” is scheduled for fans from 5:25 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on the Greensboro Coliseum concourse and two special halftime performances will be delivered by the energized mascots.
