GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Reigning Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy winner Crystal Dunn of North Carolina headlines a list of eight Atlantic Coast Conference student-athletes selected to the award’s Watch List for the 2013 season.

The MAC Hermann Trophy, the highest individual award in intercollegiate soccer, is presented annually in January during a banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis. An ACC student-athlete has earned the honor nine times.

Along with UNC’s Dunn, ACC representatives on this year’s list include 2012 semifinalists forward Kealia Ohai of North Carolina and defender Natasha Anasi of Duke, Florida State goalkeeper Kelsey Wys and midfielder Dagny Brynjarsdottir, Notre Dame midfielder Cari Roccaro, and Wake Forest goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe and forward Katie Stengel.

Near the end of the collegiate regular season, NCAA Division I coaches that are NSCAA members will vote on their top choices, and the lists will be narrowed down to the top 15. College soccer fans will also have the opportunity to participate in the selection process, as they will be able to vote for their favorite semifinalist starting in November at the MAC Hermann Trophy website.

From that pool of 15, three finalists will be chosen for the award. The winners will be announced in January.
