Coming off their second-straight 24-win season, Mark Gottfried’s Wolfpack returns only one starter from last year’s team that finished 24-11 overall and tied for fourth place in the ACC with a 11-7 league mark ... six of the 11 losses were by four points or less ... NC State is 48-24 overall with back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances in Gottfried’s first two seasons in Raleigh ... gone are five of the team’s top six scorers, including four 1,000-point scorers - C.J. Leslie (15.1), Richard Howell (12.7), Scott Wood (12.6),  Lorenzo Brown (12.4) and Rodney Purvis (8.3) ... while at NC State, those five players combined for 5,499 career points, 2,655 rebounds, 1,084 assists and 420 starts ... the Wolfpack led the ACC and was fourth nationally with a .496 field goal percentage, its best single season percentage since a .501 mark in 1989.

The team’s lone returning starter, C.J. Warren accounts for 76 percent of NC State’s returning scoring (425 of 560 points) from a year ago ... named to the ACC All-Freshmen team by both the media and coaches after finishing fifth on the team and second among ACC freshmen in scoring in 2013 (12.1) ... became only the fifth freshman in league annals to lead the ACC in field goal percentage (.622).

Tyler Lewis averaged 5.4 points in 16.4 minutes of action over the final 14 games ... in back-to-back games in early February against No. 14 Miami and No. 4 Duke, Lewis averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 assists and had a 11.0-to-1 assists-to-turnover ratio.
